SUV Peugeot 3008 driving experience

As you seen already on my Facebook Page and Instagram, the new SUV Peugeot 3008 has at last been unveiled last month in Romania.

This long-awaited vehicle takes the C-SUV segment by storm, in a class of vehicles in full expansion across the globe. Whether by its spectacular latest-generation PEUGEOT i-Cockpit, by its exceptionally inspired design or by its high-tech equipment, the new PEUGEOT 3008 SUV wants to be one of the major players in this market segment. It inaugurates for PEUGEOT a new SUV range which it will be the worldwide emblem. A fresh challenge for demanding customers looking for different experiences.

So…Here’s a little bit of what happened last week, during our amplified experience with SUV Peugeot 3008 !

When I was a young girl I was obsessed with Barbie dolls. I had almost every Barbie ever made and I remember that one of my favourite accessories was a pink Barbie Jeep. I mean, what girl can resist a pink Jeep? It was every girl dream and it left me lusting over the idea of having my own Jeep when I got older. Not pink of course!

Fast forward over 30 years and my desire to have a Jeep has returned.

I had a little taste of the Jeep vehicle when my best friend bought herself a Range Rover Evoque and the experience has left me wanting more. Back when I was 5 I wanted a Jeep because it was pink, but now I want one because it’s so functional and strong, especially for outdoor adventures.

When Vlad Mihalachioiu, the organiser of this press-trip called me and invited me to participate as a blogger, I was so happy and honoured. Because it was about a car launch, Peugeot Romania decided to take us on a Press Trip for 2 days, from Bucharest to Targu Mures and back through Viscri town. We had the opportunity to test drive the first SUV made by Peugeot and I was really impressed.

Our road trip started with great excitement knowing we will have some big adventures. We were 60 people and 15 cars. The test drive combined driving on the road and the off-road. We made stops along the way to take photos and selfies and to admire the views and the sunset.

Everyone knows that the ride is half the fun and listening out to our favourite songs, especially because the new SUV has an amazing sound system. For example in the car we had a stick with music, to test the audio system as well. A few songs later and our photo selfie and video session started. We laughed so much that the rest of the team thought that we drank something along the way. Just imagine what is happening when 4 fashionistas are in the same car!

Anyway, it was an experience I will never forget.

The new SUV Peugeot 3008 is stunning and combines beauty and brains. As a fashionista, the first thing I always notice about a car is the aesthetics. SUV Peugeot 3008 is super sleek and fashionable and the brains behind the car are quite impressive. While riding along on a course with terrain simulations, I learned that this car can handle practically anything.

What’s the 2016 Peugeot 3008 1.6 BlueHDi 120 like inside?

Peugeot has pulled out all the stops, giving the 3008 a modern interior and a real quality feel. Not only does it look and feel smart, the new 3008 it’s comfortable, too.

A spectacular, almost futuristic dashboard immediately caught my eye. My favourite thing about this vehicle is the small steering wheel because it is so easy to handle for a woman. That’s something you will only understand when you get behind the wheel of the new Peugeot 3008.

Peugeot is very proud of its latest generation of i-Cockpit design. They put the instruments high on the dashboard above the steering wheel. This highly technological ensemble seems to be at the service of the pleasure and concentration of the driver in a pronouncedly high-tech niche. Beyond that, the front seats are supportive and offer plenty of room for tall drivers. Storage is plentiful, too, including a cooler under the front centre armrest. I discovered this on the way back thanks to Cosmin Tudoran, who had even a bottle of prosecco and some glasses.

The new SUV Peugeot 3008 cuts a striking pose with this bold new styling that I love. It’s just as distinctive on the inside as well and bristles with high-tech features and safety equipment. There’s a choice of two petrol engines and four diesels. They expect that the biggest sales generator will be the 118bhp 1.6 BlueHDi Diesel one.
As I said, Peugeot Romania has offered us not only a simple test drive but a Premium experience: accommodation in one of the most beautiful hotels in Romania – PRIVO Hotel in Targu Mures, a special dinner and wine tasting and a mega party to celebrate Roxana Ciuhulescu birthday, who accompanied us on this trip even though it was her birthday.
The next day we couldn’t wake up!
The new PEUGEOT 3008 is a true SUV, but above all, it’s a PEUGEOT! And like any true SUV it has a genuine off-road capability, especially thanks to his Advanced Grip Control.
The most jaw-dropping part of our driving experience is how well the SUV Peugeot 3008 handled the steep hill simulator. The second day, we had the chance to do an off-road in Viscri town on our way home. We tested the system Assist-Hill which automatically adjusts the vehicle speed according to the degree of the road inclination and ensure a smooth descent without the need to use the throttle or brake. WOW! You can actually let go of the break when going down a steep hill without using the brake.
I thought we were going to tip over when we were going down, but since the car is designed with a good centre or gravity, it breezed right over the track. While it’s perfect for outdoor adventures, it’s also great for urban environments like Bucharest.

Clearly, the latest Peugeot 3008 is a deeply impressive SUV with a competent driving experience, low running costs, and a state-of-the-art interior.
So, subject to price considerations and the ride being as good on off road as it was on road,

the new SUV Peugeot 3008 could be well worth the wait.

Whether you’re a fan of the Peugeot 3008’s looks or not, one thing’s for sure: the French firm has certainly tried to give its small SUV a striking appearance.
