Fishnet Stockings

Would you dare to wear Fishnet Stockings?

I remember when fishnet stockings were super hot in fashion many, many years ago. I don’t know if it was the late 90’s or early 2000, but whatever. Suddenly they appeared again, but in a much more subtle way. Everybody is rocking fishnet trend this Fall…

So get yours as soon as possible!

I admit that I like this 2016 trend so much. After I’ve seen it on the runways I’ve decided to try it also for Milan Fashion Week. So, I’m back with another street style look and one of my favorite trends for fall 2016: fishnet stockings. Of course, let’s not forget the velvet everything, sweatshirt and slip dresses, oversized jerseys, mesh, glitter lips and all denim!

One of the things that I like the most about this season are the colors, such as the ones that I’m wearing in today’s look. I got the military hoodie from Kraxy Rabbit and I thought it’s a good thing to wear it with a pair of fishnet stockings and red leather heels. Add a punk leather choker and you are the star of the streets. Chokers basically look amazing with everything and no one should go without this season. The military trend is repeating also again and again…and is so perfect for Autumn. I love throwing on hoodies or dresses with tights. It’s such an easy trend to wear. All you need is a pair of fishnet socks or stockings. I prefer the ones with larger holes. Remember one of Rihanna looks during MVA’s…

Milan Fashion Week is the perfect occasion to experiment and combine different pieces. Fashion week is inspiring to me for many reasons. First and foremost getting to see THE runway shows firsthand is an absolute honour for anyone. Seeing the intricate details and hard work that goes into a collection for the first time is one of my favorite parts of working in the fashion world. Besides, the streets outside of fashion shows are full of fashion inspiration.

I rocked this outfit when walking around Milan between the shows. Sunday started with Rocco Barocco fashion show and continued with the amazing Dolce & Gabbana in the afternoon. More about this in another post.

Anyway, I loved the result a lot and it turned out to be a really cool outfit. If you want to try it, Let them be your focal point! Keep the punk vibes strong and show them off with miniskirts, heavy boots, and patterned outerwear for an outfit that’s sure to turn heads every damn time.

What do you say? Maybe that’s the pattern for trends, they come back every 20 years?
