What’s Milan without Dolce Gabbana’s Fashion Fantasy Fabulous show?
I think it’s pretty impossible to imagine the brand out of the picture now, as it’s become an italian symbol worldwide.
Women, men, kids, everyone wears pieces from Dolce & Gabbana and love them. Luxury, sophistication, tradition and wealth, that is what Dolce Gabbana’s fashion fantasy fabulous world is all about.
Talking about Milan, my highlight was definitely attending the Dolce Gabbana’s Fashion Fantasy show.
Of course, it is one of the most highly awaited moments of Milan Fashion Week. Do you guys remember my first 2014 article about Dolce & Gabbana Fashion Fairy Tales shows? I’ve always been fascinated by all the gorgeous Dolce & Gabbana pieces and their collections. If you don’t remember then feel free to check it out under this link –.
Well, it turns out that I had an invitation at Dolce & Gabbana most awaited and Fabulous FW16 fashion show during Milan Fashion Week. I still can’t believe that someone took me from the entrance and drove me to my place inside Metropol Dolce & Gabbana building. Inside the venue, everything was utterly fabulous. Even the invitation was more than I expected. When I opened it and heard this song by Ilene Woods …”A dream is a wish your heart makes! “I realized that “Dreams Do come true!” and that day I was like a princess living her fairytale at Dolce Gabbana’s Fashion Fantasy show. It was the most breathtaking, fabulous and amazing fashion experience which I dreamed of all my life. The only thing I regret is that I couldn’t wear my beautiful dress made by Raffaela Moraru especially for me. As I told you already it was so cold outside and the rain did not want to stop until MFW finished.
So I decided to end my first Milan Fashion Week in one of my most endorsed colors this season. I love wearing blue. Blue has been my favorite color for clothing for the longest time. It makes everything lighter and easier to handle.
For the occasion, I wore the blue Kraxy Rabbit jacket with a pair of flared leather pants. The jacket is perfectly over-the-top with designs who seems to be very ”excess” inspired but put all together are looking so incredibly good. I am the kind of person who likes to have some eccentricity in my look. Either some original pants, a nice bag or some outstanding shoes. And can we just talk about that bag? I am seriously obsessed with Chanel these days.
The collection took my breath away, the reason to that were the princess-y fairy-tale fantasies. Today, every girl wants to be a princess! So Stefano & Domenico were the storytellers that day showing us a collection that diverts people’s anxieties away from reality—much as Walt Disney did himself. “We know how the world is today. Fashion makes people dream—this is the service fashion gives,”Today, everything is possible for the young generation! Gabbana concluded. Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White were the new roles for some of their familiar pieces. The fitted midi dress turned a tinselly pale blue for Cinderella. Raw-edged houndstooth tweed coats and suits became her scullery maid “before” clothes. The black lace “widow” dresses converted ideally to wicked stepmother-wear. The formal menswear tailoring attired Prince Charming. Lots of tailcoated military jackets outfitted a toy soldier army from The Nutcracker.
Personally, I fell in love with the whole collection. Don’t even know how to deal with my great desire to own one of those utterly chic dresses now! Every print, every stone, so symbolic and meaningful, a very rare phenomenon in the modern fashion industry. The shoes…. Ah, the shoes!! Those heels are unreal and for princesses just like us. I can’t possibly understand how can someone create such a piece of art. From where do they get their ideas of something as unreal as an empty heel filled with flowers?
The answer is that Dolce & Gabbana brand have taken up a fascinating position vis-a-vis fashion in the past few years. Even if they didn’t pay attention to the pressure of having a radically different collection every season, the more successful they’ve become and the more fun they’re having.
A glance at Stefano Gabbana’s Instagram feed proves what a ridiculous, goofy sense of humor he has. It had been fully let loose on the details and accessories for this collection. The dresses are made with glittery beaded patches and novelty sweaters showing the Seven Dwarves, chandeliers, cats and tailor mice. The box bags are made in the shape of castles and pumpkins. Have you seen the one vanity bag with a mirror scrawled with the word:
Who is the most beautiful? Me !
DOLCE GABBANA’s Fashion Fantasy have no need to do fantasy gowns anymore because they make full-on ball gowns for real balls and actual princesses and heiresses in their Alta Moda Couture collection, which they showed a stupendous effect on the stage ofonly four weekends ago.
Given that perspective, the playful, lighthearted item and accessory-packed ready-to-wear collection shown that day represented a part of the smart parceling-out method Dolce & Gabbana have arrived at. The ready-to-wear can amuse all girls and women, get teenagers to lobby moms for holiday and birthday gifts, and give moms an excuse, maybe, to purchase themselves a black dress or suit. And, by the way, none of us is ever going to be confused by seeing a Dolce & Gabbana pre-collection publicized betweenwhiles.
“We do things, but it’s a secret until they go straight into our stores,” said Gabbana. What was that—they’ve already got see-now-buy-now sorted out? To so many others in the fashion world, that really does sound like magic.

“And they lived happily ever after” it seems like the end of a beautiful fairy tale!
The ones that made us dream as children. But this is not an end, its the beginning of the Dolce&Gabbana Fall Winter 2016-17 fashion show collection which transformed Milan Fashion Week into a fantasy land on Sunday 28th February.
