Alberta Ferretti Spring Summer 2017 it’s one of my favorite collections seen at Milan Fashion Week. An undeniably chic, feminine and refined collection full of ruffles and embroidery.
Alberta Ferretti fashion show was one of the Highlights of that day, together with Roberto Cavalli SS17 and Philipp Plein Fabulous Private Party.
Now, let’s talk a little bit about what happened at Alberta Ferretti Spring Summer 2017 fashion show!
Sorry for the delay in posting my articles about Milan Fashion Week guys! I’ve been so busy these days and I needed also some time to relax and sleep after such a hectic week.
For starters, I’d like to say that I am completely in love with Alberta Ferretti Spring Summer 2017 collection. The colors dominating the runway were red, violet and of course black.
It is so romantic, feminine and gentle. Ordinarily, a house of femininity and refinement, for Spring Summer 2017, the 65-year-old designer was exploring new expressions of womanhood: folkloric embroidered lingerie dresses and leather corset tops, cinched with double belts or strapped with bows around the waist. The 2017 Ferretti woman is powerful, sensual and comfortable in her own skin. I saw a lot of delicate lace, lingerie inspired pieces under slouchy, masculine suits, tiered Spanish dresses cinched at the waist with leather belts, and punched leather crop tops teamed with pretty broderie Anglaise or lace skirts. Also, a lot of shorts paired with blazers and blouses, and a lot of Red sheer fabrics.
Embroidery was a triumph, in symmetrical floral designs and decorating necklines of frilled dresses. Tailoring was the surprise of Ferretti’s fashion show. Underneath a chiffon frock were flared trousers. The silk peasant blouse was paired with crisp shorts.
‘These clothes are creative tools for telling the story of a new woman whose personality strongly conveys unambiguous and conscious femininity,’ Alberta Ferretti’s press notes explained before the show. ‘Unambiguous femininity’ it’s a phenomenon. It has been a major theme this month, also playing out in New York, London and now Milan.
For those who weren’t there, the show was held inside a baroque building Rotonda Della Besana. Two columns of white coat–wearing atelier workers greeted guests at Alberta Ferretti’s show. She wanted to point down that they were the house’s seamstresses and tailors. The show opened with beautiful Bella Hadid who came in a long tiered ruffle skirt in an amethyst color silk.
I chose my favorite creations to show you guys below.
But please, if you really do love it as much as I did go check out the entire Live Video.
For Alberta Ferretti SS17 show I choose to wear a Maison Raquette outfit, meaning a black slip dress with an extravagant blue trench over it. Paired with the Pink Metropolis bag from Furla/ Baneasa Shopping Center and these velvet booties from Zara. And don’t forget my Anna Dello Russo x H&M sunglasses.
After the show, we took some pictures in this beautiful garden and outside Rotonda Della Besana Palace. I was so happy to meet again with Xenia and also I had the chance to know other fashion bloggers from Italy.
Thank you so much, for featuring our picture on your website .
I have to admit, that I am in love with fashion and Milan.
Here are some of my favorite street style looks from MFW so far, captured by my photographer David Ghisa.
