Summer days and Hay rolls

The first cutting of hay….reminds me that summer is passing by so quickly!

My dear friends, if you think I’m going to tell you that I have been accidentally passing by these giant poly wrapped hay rolls on a hot Saturday dressed in a blue dress from www.lightinthebox.com, well I won’t unless I want you to believe that I have completely lost my mind.

It’s like going to the beach in your stilettos. I just couldn’t resist the temptation of shooting some pictures perched on these giant hay rolls. My photographer came with the idea and we ended up having a lot of fun in the middle of nowhere, on a hot summer day.

I admit it has been like a sunbath for both of us. While we get carried away by work we forgot about the heat. My advice to you my friends is to take time off for yourself, even if it is a half an hour a day. Just have fun, no phone, no e-mails, no worries. Breathe and listen to that inner child that is so much craving for some attention, love, and care.

Because time is passing by so quickly and we are missing out so many things in life.

Can you believe that August, is almost over? I’m just trying to soak in as much summer as I can right now…because I know how quickly it will pass!

I look back on old family photos and think that life used to be so simple and delicate. Now, life is more complicated than ever. Why does it have to be like this?

Remember the feeling when you were about 4 and you blew a dandelion in the wind and saw the little fluff being carried away? Remember how you used to catch those little fluffs from the dandelions and make a wish? That’s the feeling I’m talking about that has been lost. The delicate and magical moments of our childhood that seemed to fly by too quickly. Lately, I’ve been realizing that time has passed me by without even noticing. This week I’m celebrating another year of my life.

So come along with me for a country drive through the hay rolls and soak up the sunshine. I wish I could have just stopped the time to breathe without skipping ahead and looking for the next thing.

With this day and age, modern society says everyone must have an iPhone, emails turned on at all times. If you miss a beat,  you will get left behind. I’m probably not the best example when it comes to turning off technology. My iPhone is practically glued to my hand 24/7. But there are times when I wish I could set my phone down, relax and forget everything. I want to capture the moment and hold onto it. Because I know 65 years from now, I won’t have the strength to do some of the things I am able to do now. Like climbing on giants hay rolls. 😆

I will remember these crazy moments forever. We need to enjoy the life we are living right now.
We only get one shot at this life, so make it a good one. Do this for yourself, and no one else. Compliment someone, make their day and pay it forward. These are small things you can do in a day to help someone because we don’t know what they could be going through.

I hope you all take the time to enjoy the moments, and really live them, not just pass through them. There was a quote I heard recently that goes like this…

“First I was dying to finish high school and finish college. Then I was dying to finish college and start working. And then I was dying to marry and have children. Now, I am dying…and suddenly I realize I forgot to live.”

Dreams do come true. Not easy, not all at once, but they do.

So, keep on dreaming Dreamer…
