This is one of spring’s most wearable trend and is going to stick around! Because a lot of women have at least one pleated skirt in their wardrobe. This season pleats are discreet but in bold colors. They can be paired with everything from tucked-in blouses and heels to a leather jacket and sneakers. We’ve seen them on the runway at Céline, Emilio Pucci and Gucci.
Pleats are so lovable. They are interesting to look at, add a whole lot of flounce and still appear as chic and sophisticated as can be.
The sexy shoulders
Off Shoulders or let’s say Asymmetrical Necklines it is one of the biggest Spring 2016 Fashion Trend seen on!
If you were to invest in one fashionable piece this season, What would it be? You are right. The off-the-shoulder style.
The bared shoulders is rocking our worlds this season. They scream flawless summer nights on the beach! Designers like Erdem, Preen, Proenza Schouler and Creatures of the Wind showcased tops and dresses that exposed models’ shoulders.
Off-the-shoulders tops and dresses are both sexy and feminine, having the perfect neckline with the right amount of skin shown.
Designers decided spring should be all about boudoir lingerie: Silky nightie-dress hybrids, satin robes and Pyjama suits.
The slip dress is having a major come back this season and I simply adore this trend! It’s so easy to put on a sexy robe or dress and a suit jacket or a knitted sweater over. You can choose a lingerie lace from Celine, a 90s satin or see through chiffon from Saint Laurent or layered over fine knits at Pucci.
If walking down in lingerie on display isn’t the most realistic for you, try a lace top or camisole with jeans and a leather moto jacket.
With underwear as outerwear, SS16 is looking pretty sexy already! What do you think?
Low Slung Pants
Baggy pants are making a big come back this Spring 2016. Few pieces look quite as cool as that slouchy pair of pants, slung low on the hips.
Designers such as Chloé, Isabel Marant and Michael Kors launched on catwalk a lot of paper bag waists. This trend is tricky, but will sure turn heads if paired with a slick blouse.
I love the wide cropped culottes that keep appearing every season and I’m going to wear them as long as I can.
Bralettes over Blouses
While last year, it was all about the slip dress over a shirt, for this season designers layered tiny bralettes and bustiers over blouses. The trend is on at Alberta Ferretti, Dries Van Noten and Balenciaga.
I can’t wait to see the girls who has the nerves to wear it! For sure Anna dello Russo!
This is a trend that always seems to be in for every season, no matter how slight it might be. This time around the designers included everything from toggles to stripes and ropes, giving so many collections a rather interesting upscaling.
Even if you can’t board a yacht or lounge in South of France, you’ll look as if you can if you would wear Stripes from head to toe! For SS16, the stripe is oh so right, thanks to designers such as Giorgio Armani, Max Mara and Ralph Lauren.
‘70s SUEDE continues on this Spring Summer 2016, but Rebecca Minkoff, Balmain and Jonathan Saunders used it on seasonal silhouettes like shorts, miniskirts, skinny pants and plunging dresses.
Also the designers have continued their vintage affair and the retro vibe is also brought to you by fringes everywhere!
For spring, designers were clearly inspired by the ultimate beach bum.
If we can’t actually quit our jobs and book an exotic holiday in Bali, we’ll at least look like we did this season. 🙂 Thanks to the amount of exotic fringes, dresses, Baha pullovers, bucket hats, and loose linen coming in at designers as Altuzarra, BCBG and Alberta Ferretti.
Mango has also recently paid tribute to African Savannah with its new Tribal Spirit campaign.
Get ready to see more color than we’re used to this season!
Designers clearly couldn’t make up their minds about which one to use so opted for them all.
Dropped or rounded, voluminous shoulders were seen across several spring runways, including Balmain, Céline and Dior.
They add an exceptionally modern twist when paired with miniskirts and loose trousers. I love them!
White shirts everywhere
Nothing is as classic as a cotton shirt, right?
This Spring designers like Jacquemus, Kaelen, Michael Kors and The Row took this wardrobe staple and stretched it, elongated and reworked it into modern pieces.
Now it’s time to invest in some items for your own wardrobe. Of course, if you want to go for more trends into one, pair it with high waist pleats or striped trousers.
Mirror, mirror on the wall, what’s your favorite Spring 2016 biggest trends of them all?

Brushing up on the Spring 2016 biggest trends will also help in gauging what might be coming next, too.
For starters, I predict that off shoulder tops won’t be going anywhere next season. And, you’ll see ruffles and boudoir dressing on the runways again. But will streetwear continue to be an influence at Paco Rabanne, Chloé and Louis Vuitton? You’ll have to follow the Runways or Shopaholica Life to find out!
