Ciao from Milan Fashion Week!
I am finally here with my photographer and everything is going further. We just arrived yesterday and after we found our apartment we stopped in the city centre. It is my first time at Milan Fashion Week and I’m so thrilled about it.
Today I woke up 2 hours before the first fashion show of the day to write this article. I am so excited about the way these images from the famous Duomo turned out and I can’t wait to show them to you.
So far, it’s been going amazing! Milan Fashion Week being my choice for this season fashion month.
This Paisi furry cape was definitely a head turner. Walking around with it as if it was a totally normal look was the best thing ever. People came to ask me if I’m famous and I was like : Oh! Gosh…It stands and pops out so much!!! But I have to say that my favorite item in this whole look are my Just Cavalli jeans from Sport Couture Romania.
MFW, I am so ready for you!
So here’s a little bit about what happened yesterday!
Alberta Feretti was on top of my list. Alberta Ferretti is a designer who’s long specialized in feminine dresses like lace, tulle, and embroideries. And her Fall Winter 16-17 collection is reminding us this fact. Ferretti’s dresses are popular with the starlet crowd precisely because of their uncomplicated sweetness. For her pretty is enough. She doesn’t need avangardism.
Than we arrived at Archivo di Stato for Fausto Puglisi fashion show that I simply loved it. The people, the joy, the laughs and of course all the bold colors, prints and flamboyant collection made my day. Puglisi’s challenge is figuring out how to inject the everyday into an aesthetic that is so performative. But it hasn’t finished!
Of course, we couldn’t miss the last fashion show of the day, Roberto Cavalli.
Maxi coats, patchwork fur capes, skimpy lace dresses, platform boots and trailing Lurex scarves. I’m in love with the entire collection of amazing Peter Dundas. He has always been a translator of early-1970s rock chick. Like many others this season, Dundas made a play for the long, transparent dress. This is the one thing that is definitely a 2016 rather than a 1970 phenomenon. It’s hard to imagine how many people exist who will really wear them. Still, Dundas knows quite a few: the posse of model girlfriends who inspired the collection, and with whom he went off to party later.
For today further events and shows are waiting for me, that’s why I need to go and make me ready.
I’ll let you guys discover this set of images that David Ghisa shot last night!
See you soon!
