Catrinel Menghia bags collection

Catrinel Menghia

Catrinel Menghia launched her Sublime Catherinelle bags collection for fall-winter 2015-2016 with a fashion show inside the Boromir factory during Feeric Fashion Days Festival in Sibiu.

Sublime Catherinelle means twenty-five bags created by the famous international model. Mysterious figures and dreamlike objects come into reality at the edge of tales to reach an abstract space, somewhere away. As a “sign of recognition”, each piece contains a symbolic split and also the logo of Catherinelle.

Humanity needs Sublime Catherinelle bags. Sublime of Catherinelle is art. Sublime of art is vanguard.

It was a pleasure for me to finally meet beautiful Catrinel Menghia.

Catrinel Menghia is a romantic figure in the most poetic and literary term. She has traveled around the world and seen so many things, coming into real and dream spaces constantly. So, she decided to tell us through her Sublime collection how she captured details of other lives which then become the elements of her creativity.

Sublime Catherinelle is somewhere between innovation and tradition, dream and reality, sophistication and simplicity. The fall-winter 2015-2016 collection of Catrinel Marlon is dedicated to an enterprising, elegant, sophisticated and determined woman who looks casually at the current trends. The designer plays with contrasts between hues and fabrics. Navy blue, brown, black and forest green are creatively and spontaneously blended with bright colors such as orange and electric blue. Squared clutch and pochettes alternate with folders and shopping bags, coated with pony leather, nubuck and nappa calf leather on the outside and silk vintage on the inside, reminding us of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s.

Sublime Catherinelle is a journey through art and fashion, from a more expressive painting we reach the essence of style. It is a path defined by the color and material of the artwork. A leap into the unknown.

Catrinel Menghia or Marlon is a complete artist. Actress, model, painter and designer. She paints and takes snap-shots to archive and to tell us many stories. Between past and future, as if we were in a dream or in a timeless world, Catherinelle handbags are synonym of high standards of quality in the design, production, and packaging. Rigorously Made in Italy. They are distinguished by materials preciousness, by the contemporary cuts and trims that make these items unique. Just like the inside liners, chosen in the film and theatrical tailor’s shops, among vintage silks from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s.

Sublime Catherinelle bags collection is between past and future, as in a dream, in a world without time. The inspiration comes from the film that takes the viewer through time. The collection blends the past and the future based on the choices of leather, metal looking up to the study of the style that is developed with simple lines, square and intriguing, unconventional.

After a unique fashion show inside Boromir Factory in Sibiu, we continued with a Cocktail party at AforA brand shop. We took pictures and we drank a glass of champagne, we socialize and laugh with all those who came there to congratulate Catrinel Menghia for her beautiful fashion show.
