My best street style look from Milan Fashion Week is in Pop Sugar Celebrity Magazine. I’m really proud about this because when I left my apartment in Milan that day, I knew it was one of my best looks.
Besides preppy New York and quirky London, Milan street style is always filled with femininity and frivolity. It’s fashion for the sake of fashion! Gucci and Fendi logos, more elegant and sexy dresses than denim, and heels everywhere you look. And a lot of colors!
Milan Street Style is as much of a show as you’ll find on any runway. And you have to be prepared for this!
So… I am beyond excited to bring back the real-time diaries as they were soooo well received during MFW. Moving forward, I’ll be sharing coverage of everything I’ve been doing there.
On a very hot September day in Milan, I had the pleasure to attend for the first time in my life the Fendi show and witness their upcoming SS17 collection which I ended up loving so much.
Between the huge crowd of photographs gathered on the streets and the numerous Asian people talking fast and being enthusiastic, I discovered a fabulous collection in colorful fabrics, with daring open backs, transparencies, and attitude. I liked the coolness of the looks so much and those fabulous mini bags.
Karl Lagerfeld is the grand master of Decade collaging and did what he knows the best, bringing sophistication to another level again. After Fendi’s fresh tremendous success in Rome, when Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi made models walk on water across the Trevi Fountain, they came back to Milan with another quirkily beautiful ready-to-wear collection.
See below the Live Video from FENDI SS17 and my favorite looks :
I love the utilitarian stripes, the sporty knitted sock booties, and the lingerie silks. It is such a creative collection and my favourites are the Fendi accessories, like the frame bags with a lot of fun on them: chunky whipstitching, brocade flower-decorated guitar-style straps, rosebuds, hand-drawn loopy doodles, and much more.
Asked what this collection meant, Lagerfeld pointed to this show’s eclecticism and busyness by way of example. In an era of individualism, he suggested, Fendi offers consumers lots to work with. “No model looked the same, the looks were all completely different. Even the hair and makeup changed for every look,” he said. “And I mixed all the colours so they were all completely opposite, a shocking pink and a pastel, a floral jacquard, and leather.”
Increasingly, the luxury market means bespoke details, and creating a look or owning something utterly unique. Fendi is definitely here, first with their £400 Bag Bugs, and now with a whole range of cool accessories. The SS17 bags were decorated with fur emojis, initial key fobs, and rosette leather-covered straps, which can all be swapped and changed each season. The clothes are also a mix-and-match of separates that could be styled accordingly.
Fendi SS17 collection is so playful. Lagerfeld liked that the collection has “a floating feeling”, as he described it.
Like the wind: it could go in any direction and increase sales !
So…Who said I can’t have my Best Street Style Look from Milan Fashion Week in a dress? A blue one, more precisely. For Fendi Fashion Show, even more.
Edita Lupea is a Romanian designer and one of the two designers representing DADA brand. She is also a costume designer for Castel Film Studios and manages her own label as well.
Before starting fashion week season, there’s a lot of work and things to arrange in order to make the whole experience perfect and to have the best outfits. I won’t bother you guys with all this management stuff but will definitely let you know that it takes weeks to get fully ready. Before leaving, I had the great idea to look through some of my favorite shopping online spots. I fell in love with Edita Lupea collection which mixes super beautiful basics with super cool and casual vibes.
I am completely obsessed with the blue checkered dress from Edita Lupea Designer. My Backpack Bluette from Furla Candy collection and the flashy velvet sandals from Atelier Faiblesse definitely caught the whole attention on the Milanese streets.
After Fendi show, I rushed over to the Anteprima SS17 show!
Against the frailness and calm, Against the conformity and ease, Against the ever changing times, Anteprima SS17 is a Rebel collection not for youth, but for beauty.
A is for the Alpha female because femininity is always a strength, not a weakness. This collection was a mix between elegance, innocence, and comfort. The main elements were the sporty knitwear and relaxed volumes with delicately fluttering silks. The collection was divided into nonchalant daywear and careless sensual evening wear, with 70’s vibes. There was silk, tulle, knit, polka dots, neutral tones and spontaneous colours.

Hope you Guys enjoyed my first article about MFW and my Best Street Style Look.
Tomorrow I will continue with Prada SS17 fashion show and Philipp Plein Fabulous Private Party. I can’t write and post all my pictures in a single article, because as you know I changed 3 outfits per day. So…I will make one for each presentation I’ve attended.
Thank you so much for your attention! Kisses
